This is for the "slide melt" style red dot cutout with Cerakote slide refinish on Sig Sauer Pistols.
Cover Plates are available by clicking HERE.
Some models have internal cavities along the firing pin that prevent red dot mounting without an adapter plate. Please verify whether yours does or not before ordering.
Slide internals should be left installed on all models since some parts may require modification.
*Old stamped steel slides with removable firing block CANNOT be cut for optics.
Although most pistols can be milled to accept a red dot, if you have an odd model or are aware that there may be issues then just contact us prior to get confirmation that you do not require special services. By default the rear dovetail will be retained if possible, however, many slides are not large enough and require that the rear dovetail either be removed or relocated. Relocating a dovetail is a separate service available for $50.00

Generally any model red dot can be used. Templates are maintained for most of the common manufacturers, but it is still a good idea to include your red dot for installation as each slide is fitted to the optic.
Had a few custom machining tasks done by SAS, a sig 226 optic cut for RMR which is not a common option, not many vendors work on the 226 slides. The finish on the optic cut I couldnt even tell it was an aftermarket cut. One small wishlist if there were recoil lugs but this was a very affordable service for the cost involved.
Second was a custom "C style" barrel port on an aftermarket glock barrel and slide. I drew on approximately where I wanted the porting and slide cuts and he did just that. I asked for it NOT to be refinished and the edges on the slide cut were a little sharp but left unpainted/finished as requested.
Overall great value and would patron again.
The online tracking of batch numbers was also helpful to not nag on where/what the status is.
I have zero complaints about the service. Scott was responsive over email, took a special request after I'd sent the order off, and the finished product turned out just dandy.
They do take a while to get done, but I understand it is a small shop and the minimum wait times are pretty clearly stated. Besides, you should probably have more than one gun in your safe anyways.
Thanks a bunch!
The previous review was not a bad review. It was a 3 out of 5 stars. An average rating for for very average work. I clearly state it was my fault for not reading more closely. I could have sent my slide to a myriad of other sources to have the slide milled. Even knowing I would have to wait 18 WEEKS for you to do the work, which is well longer than several other firms, I still chose your company. Everything considered, including waiting 4 1/2 months, AGAIN, I did business with YOU. Your company did an average job. But because you asked for a better rating, I’ll give you another star. I hope THIS makes sense.
When I ordered the slide cutout, I didn’t catch that there was an option to have the work done without refinishing the slide. When I got the slide back, I wasn’t happy about the slide being completely refinished and cerakoted. I wasn’t happy of the belief that the refinishing would only be where the slide was mailed. Completely my fault that I didn’t look into it further. But not exactly happy about it.
Our listing do clearly state that 'slide refinishing' is included. It does not say anything about cutout area only being refinished. We are sorry about the confusion, but do not understand how by doing nothing wrong and performing exactly the service requested that we are deserving of a low review.....make it make sense to me.
