Could've been me, could've been a lemon.

The first issue I ran into was that the aftermarket slide has the small thread posts, which wouldn't fit into the hole on the plate. Maybe it's made that way, but there was no chance I was hammering that plate on or screwing it down without stripping the threads. I took a 5/64" (if memory serves me correctly) to remove JUST enough metal to slide snugly over the thread posts. Problem solved, no big deal.

The next issue I had was that the threads stripped out when mounting the red dot. I know the initial reaction is to assume I'm an idiot and over-torqued it. I used a Wheeler Fat Wrench to torque the screws to 9in-lbs with blue thread locker and the threads on the plate stripped out before I even got to 9in-lbs.

I might have set myself up for failure, but I might have also gotten a lemon. I don't know. I have a Glock 19 Gen4 with an aftermarket Zaffiri slide I ordered with an RMR cut because it was only $130 through a third party, a huge markdown from their website. I bought the plate so I could mount a Vortex Defender ST. I'm willing to admit when I make a mistake, but I've also been around guns a long time and am confident about my ability to correctly mount optics, scopes, etc. I got frustrated and didn't want to deal with returning it after I altered it, so I ended up just ordering an actual DPP-cut Zaffiri slide and chose to eat the cost of this as a "buy once, cry once" mistake.

I would give it one star, but maybe me removing that 1/64" of metal screwed something up even though it was different holes, I don't know. This product has great reviews, so I'll give it two stars for the benefit of the doubt.

I did pay extra for two-day shipping, and it took over a week to arrive, which was also a bummer. I messaged the company about this and got no response, so that wasn't very cool either.

I looked at your order and the adapter version ordered does not work with cutouts that have threaded screw posts, so that was the fitment issue. We make a different version for your application linked below.

The screw stripping is a questionable concern worth more consideration of cause.

Shipping times are out of our control, so complain to USPS, but we do indicate adapters can take up to a week to fulfill so shipping time is independent of processing time.

Finally, I searched our email folder and found no emails received with your name, order number, or email address....so it was never received. We could have exchanged for the correct adapter had we known.

Nothing else like it!

Bought multiple adapter plates, some of which I attempted to drill/tap the appropriate size holes. Didn’t have any luck as most of the material was too soft or did take the new threads as well. This adapter plate, though it cost slightly more than others, completely solves the headache of mounting the DPP when the slide holes are cut initially to an RMSC footprint. Now to test the zeroing dependability!

RMR to DPP Adapter

The RMR to DPP adapter fit perfectly on my slide and my Vortex Defender XL fit perfectly onto the adapter plate. It does make it sit higher than my suppressor tall sights so there is no cowitnessing at all, but that wasn't an issue at all once I zeroed my red dot.
