I read online in several forums that the supplied screws by Holosun for the SCS VP9 red dot could potentially shear after a few rounds with the optic mounted. One of the commentors mentioned that SAS Tactical makes higher quality screws. These screws are excellent. They fit perfectly and seem much sturdier than the Holosun screws. I highly suggest this product so you can confidently mount your red dot and not worry about any shearing.
If you are looking to mount a Romeo-X compact on a Staccato CS, you will need the plate from staccato and these screws!
FYI, this is what I discovered to mount the Defender-ST RDO to a Beretta APX A1 Tactical.
This is just for your reference. I’m not sure if someone else might ask you how to mount the Defender-ST to a Beretta APX A1 Tactical.
Please let me know what you think about the Kemifon / RDO screw kit.
Do you think it's truly 12.9G Carbon steel?
The Defender-ST uses the Leupold/Delta Point Pro mounting plate.
Beretta sells the APX A1 Tactical RDO optic plate (E03056) Leupold (Delta Point-Pro) footprint.
This plate has two holes (non threaded). The Defender-ST sits on top of the mount and the screws
go through the Defender-ST, through the mounting plate and uses the threaded screw wholes
In the Beretta Pistol.
(the Defender-ST does not screw into the Mounting plate). It sits on top of the mounting plate (perfectly)
And the screws (m3.5 x 12mm) go through the RDO and mounting plate and screw into the threaded holes of the APX A1 Tactical.
Fits perfectly, the correct threads and correct length.
I purchased from Beretta the Leupold (Delta Point-Pro) (E03056) footprint mounting plate. (the two screws that come with this are to long (19mm).
I Purchased the RDO screw kit from amazon; (m3.5 x 12mm)
Amazon, Kemifon / RDO screw kit. (many variety of screws and lengths including m3.5x12mm)
This kit is; T10 Torx, 12.9G Carbon steel.
I’m not sure if you welcome these kind of comments but I thought I would let you know what I found and what works for this gun with the Defender-ST.
Please let me know if you think differently or if I did something that is not correct mounting the Defender-ST RDO. Thx.
Best regards,
Mike
Worked like a charm.
